Default Mini-Tub kits...who has them............

Might look into doing a kit if its not too much of a pain in the *** and money.

I want to put 335 tires on the rear (maybe 345's) with 18 x 11 or 18 x 12 rims on the rear. I could do the BFH modification as I think I can make the room I need.

I banged the inner wells in the rear 8 years ago a little tiny bit, as in like 4-5 hits each side so my 315 tires on my 17 x 9 factory rims wouldn't rub going into hard turns. Been great for 8 years. So I'm sure I could BFH them to make another 1.5 - 2 inches of room.

Any input would be aprreciated. Thanks.

****reason I want to do this, my factory polished WS6 rims are just toast, beyond repair. I was going to get some crazy expensive Boze rims, deep dish and have 3 inches cut off each end of my Strange axles. But I'd rather get replicas for 1/4 the price, have the two rear rims widened and call it a day.****Like this member did....https://ls1tech.com/forums/vehicle-c...1-red-ws6.html

Wolfe has a kit that is priced reasonable. Not sure how difficult the install is. There is a local shop that does this but I have no idea what they charge. I have this on my list also.

Do a search in the Drag Racing Tech forum. Tons of info in there for tubs and fitting wider tires. I spent several hours in there last night looking for info on removing the bump stop and making that area flat so I can jack the car up without worrying about the tires hanging up. Some of those guys are hardcore and don't mind ripping out sheet metal and non-structual (and structual pieces as in the pics )to get things to fit and to remove weight.

Is that a mini tub job in progress? I don't think Im gonna be into cutting and welding like that. I think the BFH will do the trick for another 2 inches.

But I'll look into the mini tub kits. Maybe a shop can just do it all for me, I don't want to do that stuff....lol

if you're willing to beat the hell out of the car to try to fit 18x12's with a 345 DR, you might as well do it right and have it mini tubbed. thats what im doing. i began to attempt to bfh my inner fender wells, but after measuring how much was going to have to be beat in to clear a 14" tire on a 12-13" rim, mini tub is the only way to go. not to mention you may ruin good metal a mini will attatch to. oh, and you'll need off set lca's for sure. i got the wolfe mini tub kit and thier offset lca. very good pieces, the tubs are goin in right now rather easily, and i'll have another update on my install tomorow

How much does the kit cost with the LCA offset mounts?

How many hours would it take a professional shop to put it in for me?

I think I'm going with 17 x 11 rear rims and 335 tires. Might not need to tub it for that.

How about 10 more mm's, 12" wide trims and 345's....is that possible with BFH.

Just curious.....because I think 11"s and 335's are plenty of tire for me.

What rear rims are you using?

Is that rear-end stock width like my Strange 12 bolt?

Offsets?

Spacers?

How much BFH did it take on the inner wells?

Any info like that would be cool.

Thanks.
