Default v6 vs ls1 hard brake lines the same?

i was wondering if the hard brake lines on the v6 cars and the ls1 were the same or not? i am specifically wondering about the hard brake line that spans the length of the axle for a 3-channel rear end.

Should be the same as long as it was from a 3 channel car. This would not be true if its from an LT1 vehicle and you having an LS1 vehicle.

Spans the length of the axle? That isn't "hard" line. It can be bent, just needs some coaxing.

when i said hard line, i meant the metal brake line that runs over the axle. there is actually two brake lines that run the length of the axle and they are connected together.

I'm not seeing different part numbers for the V6 compared to the V8. The different part numbers I see for the 2 hard lines between the 2 models are for the Traction Control option (NW9). The 2 hard lines going across the rear end housing are very reasonable from the dealer actually. Unless you are getting a great deal on used lines, I would go new.

You have to manually search using the part numbers. Most of these online sites don't list everything in the specific parts catalog for some reason.

I bought these exact lines last year for my 10 bolt project. I don't have TCS either and these lines were a perfect fit. I priced making my own lines, but by the time you buy the correct flaring tool and fittings and pipe, it's not worth it.

Sorry about that. The General discontinued them on us. With the hard lines, you should be able to make them yourself pretty easily.

If anyone has a hard time finding something on our site, feel free to email me at kevin@partstaxi.com or you can call me at 302-645-6221 x126.

Thanks
Kevin
