The Fays2 Watts link clamps can fit a 3" axle tube and the S60 is slightly larger than 3" dia., So no.

Lightbulb

Might be worth a call to see if they can get bigger clamps:

I'm the middle of installing mine. I'm wondering about the bolt that goes thru the adjustment location on the watts frame...is the bolt supposed to just push thru or is it supposed to thread thru?

After you determine the correct position for your ride height just push it through and tighten it down, It won't go anywhere after it's tightened down.

thanks for the quick reply. My bolt doesn't push thru or thread thru, it's too big for the frame adjustment holes to go thru. I'll call Fays2 support tomorrow.

Again thanks.

would this in turn put more stress on the axle, making my awesome ten bolt even weaker? (tube clamps instead of panhard mount)

The bolt should go right through, it's most likely just the powdercoating that's holding it up. If you can thread it through the first time, that's fine as it will "clear a path" so to speak.

As for more stress... No. What's weak about a 10 bolt is not the housing anyway. It's the gear set and differential and this has nothing to do with those things.

Thanks, it was the powdercoating; I removed some paint and it goes thru like it should.

I finished mine up tonight and drove around my culd-a-sac: back feels tighter and now seems like the front could use some sometype of upgrade to keep up with the rear.

I screwed up on the alignment of the rear, going to a friends shop to reset the rear and do it on a lift..... I would never do this again with ramps

Question

That's interesting feedback -- what else do you have done suspension-wise?

Ok, so now that my direction on my car has changed to a handling performance based instead of drag racing, I have been looking into the Watts conversion. I do have some concerns, same as I have with all rod ended parts. My car is a daily drive, it sees all weather conditions & I have a gravel driveway. How much faster will the rod end parts wear out on a vechicle daily driven year round with a set-up like this? Is this even a factor? I'd hate to chew up a set of rod ends every 6 months but I'd love to gain the handling improvement of this set-up.

Hotchkis springs, Bilstein shocks, weld in subframe connectors, Edlebrock torque arm.....
Not sure my springs and shocks are properly matched.

I think the first suggestion you will hear is Koni adjustables, since you have 1" drop lowering springs... Depends also how new those Bilsteins are...

Maybe sways next...

You're in Tulsa... swing by the Fairgrounds if you're not busy Sunday.

You might be able to get a close look at a 4th gen / Watts link equipped car and have a chat with its owner.

How is this working out for you guys? I'm definitely interested in the watts setup. I like to spend money where it counts most. Would you guys say this is a worthwhile setup?
I don't race as often as I used to or do autocrossing...none of that...but maybe one day.
But I am looking for as crisp a suspension setup as I can make it. And best bangs for your bucks....this is on the top of my radar as very likely one.
Would u say the difference is night and day? also did u have to upgrade the rear trailing arms? not that I dont intend to...but want something that works best with this in mind.

It was worth it to me. The system has advantages in daily driving and competition, you just need to figure out if its right for you. I already had 'upgraded' rod - rod rear LCAs when I did the upgrade. I don't mind the noise, and I liked the better feel they have over the stockers, but I can't say if they work better or not with a Watts setup.

Compared to the stock panhard bar setup, it is a night and day difference. You will see most of it pushing the car to its limits, but there are some advantages (say goodbye to upsetting the rear end when you go over bumps) if your car is more of a daily driver.
