No front sway bar + skinnies on the street
Is anyone running no front sway bar and skinnies on the street? If so, how does it ride and would you recommend it to others? Im looking at running 28x12 MT ET streets in the back and some skinnies up front but I dont want to make my ride horrible around town. I realize I will lose some ride quality but as long as its not completely undrivable Im ok. Thanks all!

I ran with no front sway bar for a while your fine as long is you keep it some where around the speed limit.. but if you start going say 20 over it gets pretty hairy in lane changes.

You have to remember the car isn't going to stick in a corner like it would with the sway bar in place.
I haven't ran a sway bar in three years and have had skinnies on it the whole time

Ride "quality" won't suffer, in fact it is usually better without the swaybar. Handling is where you will see the drawbacks. Skinnies have very little sidewall stability and without a swaybar, the car will tend to push through corners more. As long as you don't fly around exit ramps, it's really no big deal...

I agree with everyone who replied, I've never had a problem with it. Bob

The front sway bar ties together both sides of the suspension. When the sway bar is removed the suspension is freed up and the chassis will experience much better weight transfer. Bob

Same as posted above. I took it around the corner to test it limits without the swaybar and it seemed the same except a crapton of body roll. Drove around on kentucky roads for 2 or 3 weeks like that.

Maybe, Ill get a pair of 15x7s for street use and 15x3.5s for the track. I like to take corners once in a while, but without a sway bar up front and DRs out back thats not such a great idea...

back from the dead, for new people interested...
I've got my bigs/skinnies on now with no front sway bar and now no power steering, and it's my daily driver. No big deal here but I'm willing to put up with a lot more than some people.
Fronts are the pacer/jegs/summit (they're all pacer wheels fyi) 15x4 with 165/80r15 tires
Rears are jegs 15x8 with 5.5 bs 275/60r15 Nitto 555DR's
Fronts fit with a 3/8 spacer, no grinding. Rears fit with the same size spacer and had to grind one small spot off of each caliper. Took 5 mins per side. Long wheel studs on all 4 corners were a must!

why not just remove the swaybar on track days its a few bolts? it really takes no more time than changing tires and rims. my car will run the 275s and swaybar on the street, but on track days il remove the swaybar and put the skinnis and DRs on, no time at all to swich from street mode to race mode

I've even done a couple WOT on ramp entries like this, and couldn't really tell much difference. They weren't the kind that are sharp turns though, pretty straight.
The weight transfer is crazy!
