Default looking for a good brake package

I got a 98 trans am it needs to have new calipers rotors and pad put on it.. i was wondering where the best deal was for something like that it is just a street car so nothing to extreme is necessary.
The calipers were siezed when i bought the car you cant even turn the wheel when the tires are up in the air so those gotta go which naturally tore up the rotors so im just looking for good stock replacements if anyone has a good direction where to go.. seems like the napa brakes and stuff like that dont have much luck with me

look for anyone selling LS1 calipers. rebuild them, fresh fluid, lines, quality pads and solid rotors.

Your best bet is to get with brakemotive. they are a sponsor on here. They have killer deals on slotted rotors/pads.. heck, i think for my slotted rotors and pads it was around 180 bucks i wanna say.

I went with the Napa Ultra Premium rotors (seem to be holding up really well, much better than the cheaper ones), HPS pads, Russell stainless lines, and ATE Super Blue fluid. The whole package I think cost $400 something (the lines were expensive), but the brake feel/response is amazing, along with the additional stopping power.

I just installed brakemotives drilled slotted rotors and evolution z16 pads, all four for 165 shipped. Lingenfelter has goodridge stainless lines for 110 plus shipping, they are suppose to be the best lines. Ate super blue fluid from strano performance. 300 bucks for some great stopping power. The pads are supposedly on par with hps hawk pads that everyone on here loves.

^^I also bought the Brakemotive package, waiting on delivery right now. Hell for the price I couldnt pass up at least giving them a chance. It was cheaper than the Wagnor blanks & cheapo pads locally by alot.

So far I have been seeing good reviews on the Brakemotive stuff, as long as your not expecting Wilwood quality for under $200, LOL

I was going to get new blanks for the front, I have brand new blanks for the rear, and Hawk pads, but for the cost of the brakemotive stuff I think I'll give them a shot. And I have to get the braided lines too, I forgot about that

I've been very happy with my brakemotive rotors and pads. Got the brembo and powerslot blanks with Z16 pads. Used Russell steel lines with Super Blue and I've been extremely happy with the whole set up. Plus the customer service was excellent. I was treated well in all my discussions.

Unless you bought what you needed since you posted this, if you already have the rear blanks and pads I suggest just getting the front blanks from Brakemotive. He gave me a killer deal on the front set of Brembo blanks (in addition to all the other stuff I picked up too) Get a set of lines and some high temp fluid like ATE super blue and you are done. Post up what you ended up buying and how your set up worked out for you. I'm curious and I'm sure others will want to hear it too. I always like to hear about the experiences of people with similar set ups so I can see if we are all getting the same results. (I'm sure we will)

Good luck.

I have the c5 big break kit with cryofrozen slotted rotors (forgor the brand) and hawk pads.. for the street you wont need the drilled at all. this is for cooling on a road course and reduces the life of the rotors a pretty good amount... if i was yo i would go with just the slotted cause it helps a ton in the rain.
