Default so i ordered some super cheap pads and rotors

well i was at my buddy's house the other day and i couldnt help but notice the brake rotors on his car, they looked awesome. I became very interested when he told me the price for 8 pads and 4 rotors! so, i just ordered them and figured i could give you guys a review on them.

now i will state before i get flamed that i am not expecting better braking power or any noticeable difference at all. I bought some new wheels and the stock ugly brakes just arent going to cut it. so its just for looks, plus my front rotors are warped anyways.

I don't think you're going to get flamed too much, but I bet most people would say the better upgrade would be to go with the LS1 brake upgrade, which can be done for around $100 if you shop around.

My only concern is that I don't trust safety-related stuff off eBay UNLESS someone can vouch for it by giving feedback from actual experience. Hopefully you can give us your opinion when you have them on.

Sometimes going from old brakes to new brakes makes a big difference, whether they are performance or not. Those should do fine.

just keep an eye on the pads, I had a cheap set of pads shear off of the backing plates so I ended up losing my passenger side rear brake completely on a hard stop. when I replaced the rest of the pads they were all starting to separate.

Yea they are a sponsor on here, those are good pads and decent rotors. I ordered them too but the difference was I called them an only paid 165. They give like a 10% discount to tech member I believe

The dealer put cheap pads on my car. Might as well open the window and stick your hands out if you try braking at over 100mph.

Ps you will notice more bite, they have something like 20% more mu than stock. Powerstop z16 pads are up their on the performance pad list. Some prefer hawk hps pads and some prefer these... Brakemotive says the mu (friction coeffecient) is about the same on the two.

I also bought the Brakemotive package they were offering on here. Havent seen a single negative review about their products. The rotors are Kinetic made by Powerstop & like stated above the kit comes with performance pads.

It'd be a good idea to bleed the brake system at the same time if you haven't done it lately...

Dont forget to re-adjust the parking brake when you do the rear rotors. Thats often over looked if you dont already know to do it, just a heads up.

I have used brakemotive parts on both of my f-bodys. they are a great product at an awesome price. I did not use the front pads i got a great deal on some hawk hps from pep boys for 33 bucks!!!! but people will tell you to stay away from the drilled rotors but i never had an issue and i drove the hell out of my old trans am and the new one only has like 100 miles on the brakes
