Default 2001 Camaro Sway Bars "Stock SS" vs "Strano-Hollow"

Team,

Any advise or suggestions between keepoing the stock 2001 SS sway bars or going w/the updated lightweight Strano sway's? I understand the Strano's are hollow/lightweight but is there really much benefit between the two?

The body roll will be noticeably less with Strano's bars. I've had both, and if I had to do it over again, I'd do Strano's bars in a second.

Random story: I took my dad for a ride after putting the sway bars on, and his only comment after going around a tight corner was "Wow...it hardly even rolls at all." And this man doesn't notice anything. Technical? No...but if my dad notices the difference, it is pretty big.

There's a in depth review on them in this section somewhere. I believe he compared stock vs strano sway bars, but nothing on the rest of his suspension was stock either, that's a plus! If you can feel a difference with sway bars and you already have a good handling suspension. These are definitely on my upgrade list.

Strano's bars are stiffer with about the ratio balance between front to back.

stock ss bars are 32 up front and 19 out back

strano bars are 35 up front and 22 out back

they make a HUGE difference in handling

Just so you know, the front SS sway bar is hollow already, but the rear is solid. Compared to stock, the entire set of Strano sways is a few lbs. lighter, but compared to a solid set of the same size, it's more like 20 lbs.!

Definitely on my wish list, there's nothing bad to be said about these bars!

Only complaint I had was why I waited so long. These should be 2nd on the list right behind a set of Koni's & deff before a set of SFC's.

I ordered a set for my SS, and the SS sways are moving over to my RS (currently 28/15 stock)... Both cars will be much nicer to handle soon.

Balance on my bars is very similar, though I do increase the rear rate a touch more than the front relative to the balance of the stock 32/19 bars. My rear bar is lighter than stock too, and the front bar is only marginally heavier.

A shipment is headed my way tomorrow... those of you who have them on order we're looking at early next week for them to start shipping.
