Default summit lowering springs?

Has anyone used the summit lowering springs? Part #SUM-720103

My car needs rear springs badly...I'm not in the position to dump a lot of money into suspension parts right now so I'm looking to do this as cheaply as possible. I've heard nothing but complaints from people running sportlines. Anyone know who makes the summit springs?

Wish I could help, but I have no clue about those springs. With that said go with the proven... Strano Parts white or BMR red. Or take off stockers..............

I appreciate the reply...the car is currently on unknown lowered springs from the previous owner. They ride like worn out cut stock springs haha. The bump stops are nearly gone as the car pretty much rides on them. I know strano is the man to go to for suspension parts...but I was hoping to get away with something cheap until I can afford redoing the whole suspension. I'm running stock springs/shocks up front with ~106k on them and new bilsteins on the back with crap springs.

I guess I'm really just looking for a decent rear spring that lowers the car a bit...Any suggestions?

Call summit and ask them about rates, drop height, etc. They should be able to provide you with everything you need to know.

Summit brand stuff is generally not crap.

I believe they are rebadged Eibach Pro-kits. I would see if you can get spring rates and compare....

Post the spring rates given on the Summit springs & I'll bet others can chime in with the rates of the other brands for comparison.

At least there's details about the Eibach springs.

ETA: iirc the pro kit for LS1 fbodies is somewhere in the 500lb range or less. And very progressive so they never seem to get into their actual rated rates.

^^^

I believe the BMR's are 550/160, with the 1.25" drop. They're not variable rate.

This should clear this up....

Summit Springs
Progressive rate springs
Front 377 to 600 lbs per inch
Rear 80 to 137 lbs per inch
f r
Eibach V8 Prokit 93-97 377-600 94-160
Eibach V8 Prokit 98-02 400 80-137

Hopefully easy enough to find out

The info Down posted is what the tech at Summit gave me on the Summit Springs...I will have the Summit springs on tomorrow - unfortunately I won't really have anything to compare them to as I'm sure they'll be better than what I've got now.

Eibach ProKit: (no rates listed)
Front: 1.5'' drop
Rear: 1.3" drop

I haven't installed the front springs yet, but got the rear springs on today...the springs I pulled off were cut stock springs. So, as I said earlier...nothing to compare to - but I'm very happy with these springs. The drop looks good...but most of all my car doesn't slam down on the bump stops on every bump.
