Question cheap bilsteins

HI, this is my first post. Anyway, I need new struts and shocks, still have original DeCarbons at 134000 miles. I have 98 TA convertible not WS6, will be switching to 18" wheels soon,no racing, stock springs, like to take a fast corner now and then, but don't want a harsh ride. Also I only drive it about 4000 miles a year and I like quality but I don't want to spend too much money. I really think bilsteins are my best choice. I found some different part numbers for bilstein shocks that I haven't seen here. W0133-1910825 listed as fronts for 4th gen, W0133-1912872 listed as rear for 4th gen about $75 and W0133-1609231 listed as rears for third gen (I've read these should fit) $46. The last ones price is what really interested me. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them, any input would be great. Also I found somebody that b46 1913 still at a good price, any reason I wouldn't want them? Thanks for any input.

Autopartsway through amazon is where I saw the $46 rears, partsgeek had them for $49.
Yes I saw the ws6 store set price, very good, but if these rears could work well and I get the b46-1913's, I found I can be at $300. I was hoping to get some opinions though, I like to save money, but $70 more dollars isn't the end of the world if it is a noticeably better setup. Also I had read up about all the different bilsteins on this site (SLPs, 1913/1914, 2406/2407) and was curious about these completely different part numbers. Another random suspension question if anyone cares to weigh in, is it worth it to go for the ws6 32mm front swaybar compared to my 30mm?

I would think that those cheap bilstein are more of a stock style replacement for OEM, not the one that the sponsors sell. So you might end up with a stock shock again..

Usually, you get what you pay for.

Question Further suspension input for the newbie

Maybe these are cheaper bilstein versions, I was hoping someone knew something about them, I had read 3rd gens. had stiffer shocks in the rear, so maybe cheaper version balances out stiffer I don't know. I have tried a few things in other cars, my 96 suburban was wonderfully transformed when I put bilsteins in it better handling and smoother (this what I want, I want my CDs to not skip on my fine midwest roads) I put monroe severe service shocks in 95 caprice ex patrol car result better control, less float, but also a harsher ride. Any opinions on getting the new but old b46-1913s? and is it worth the money and effort to switch front swaybars from a 30mm to 32mm? Thanks for the input so far anymore much appreciated as well

I have SLP's in stock for $384.99 set. No sales tax to CA residents, and if you are on the east coast less shipping. In the end I think you'll find about the same price delivered to most places from me... I can only say that I try and 'be around' this forum and chime in when I can with advice, not everyone can say that.

I would just go with the SLP bilsteins from wherever. There are a night and day over the factory and for the price its hard to beat. Either Sam or the WS6 store are great choices. I want with the WS6store though since I live close they were here the next day. Either way not a bad shock at all.
