uhhh, wtf torque arm?
so, anyone else seen this/had this happen to them before? Thought I broke an axle when it ripped itself in half.
so, I guess I'm in the market for a new torque arm.
Which one should I get? I know there's a UMI version, but if I'm going to be spending big money, I'd like to know other options...thanks!

If you are getting an adjustable torque arm, do alot of research on how to properly adjust it. I have seen a dozen write ups, and still can't figure it out, LOL.
Stock torque arms suck with sticky tires.

He didnt break it, he just copy and paste my pic. Well I took off the T/A to look at the damage. I blame mine on the wheel hop, do you have wheel hop. I also broke mine when I was getting on it. I was doing a 1st gear pull, I didnt make it to 2nd gear.

yea, there was some wheel hop. probably a combination of those two, tires and wheel hop. either way, I just ordered myself a BMR chromemoly one for $269 from summit...they list for $374 on BMR's site, so if you're looking for a cheap chromemoly one, look at PN TA001H on summit, it's only $269.69...$100 cheaper.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations, we appreciate it!
This is some what common for the stock torque arm. The stock arm has some flex in it so it usually flexes before it breaks and this is why you don't see them break as often as they could. Also if a torque arm bolt ever came loose the torque arm would easily crack like above.
If I can help with any questions please ask. Thank you!

I dont think it is chromemoly! I have been looking around on which one to get and that deal is just to good to be real. If it is really the chromemoly one, I'm ordering it asap.
part # on all the sponsor that sell it show the part number as TA001 for the steel one
MTA001 for the chromemoly one including BMR. Summit has it as TA001 and under torque arm material it says steel not chromemoly. I click on UMI's chromemoly T/A and under torque arm material it shows chromemoly and steel for the UMI steel T/A.

Either I don't run my car hard enough or it just doesn't have enough *****. For the record though, I have been on UMI's website everyday this week and all their stuff looks promising. I have about 4 things I want to buy right now but money is kind of tight. I'm also trying to hold out for the 4th of July sale
