stock rear control arms/1LE bushings need boxed?
So, the search function brought up some useful information.. except I cant see where anything was decided...
I have boxed control arms that are aftermarket, but they have polly bushings and I think they have cold formed now, as I think they are the source of my clunking. (yeah, I have checked everything else) So Im switching back to the stockers with the solid rubber bushings.
I want to keep rubber bushings in the rear, and I purchased the 1LE bushings from GM. I have them pressed into my stock control arms now, but I saw lots of threads where people are arguing that they dont need to be boxed...
Has this debate come to a conclusion yet? Do I need to go through the work to box them, or are they fine for the street? I love to corner hard, as the suspension is put to the test often with me behind the wheel. I think they call it "spirited" driving hehe.
So, what to do?
Thanks!
