Default LCA or not to LCA...

I am doing some upgrades to my car when my income tax comes in and I wanted to know if changing my LCAs were worth it. Going to get a torque arm-adjustable and the relocation brace as well. Figured since I was doing that if it would be easier to change out the LCAs as well. Car is a daily driver and stock ride height and probably wont lower it for a while.

Upgrades will be TSP 1-7/8 W/ ORY, Tick Master Cylinder, BMR Adjustable Torque Arm and Relocation brace. Let me know what yall think. Pros/Cons as to getting a non-adjustable as to an adjustable set.

I'm getting adjustables and lca relocation brackets for my stock suspension z28. This way when I lower the car I'll be good to go. I've done a lot of research and that's usually the consensus.

Lower control arms are always a good idea if you are still on the stock LCAs. For drag racing pair of our adjustable lower control arms up with a set of our lower control arm relocation brackets and you will get rid of the wheel hop and really improve straight line performance. If you are more into handling just get a good set of adjustable lower control arms and you will be good to go.

Thanks for the quick responses. Will be doing the set of adjustable lower control arms for I need the handling more than anything.

Then you need to do more research, all those mods wont do jack for handling, and if you are getting a short torque arm thats going to hurt handling.
If you are interested in handling you should be looking at good shocks before anything else.

The FIRST suspension/chassis upgrade I did was rear LCAs. It improved my hook! I followed it with exhaust and tires and got 1.63 60' foot times and with STOCK engine found my way to the other end of the track in 12.18's (T56 trans).

Good luck.

Apples and Oranges.

Drag racing, and performance parts targeted at it, are on the opposite end of the spectrum from a handling set up.

As JD pointed out, he's better off getting a decent set of shocks.

Either way, LCAs help plant the power to the ground. LCAs are a good call. Shocks are also good but LCAs cheaper.

LCA aren't necessarily a good call for handling. Using roto-joints or rod ends will help handling. However, a poly/poly combo that a drag racer would love because it reduces wheel hop, can really ruin a handling car by introducing bind in the suspension.

Thanks for all of the input on the subject and I have done research on the subject. I do have Koni 4/4 for my shocks but I am wanting to plant more of that power to the ground and thought these might help the handling more than the factory setup.

You really only need adjustable ones if you're going to run taller tires.
