lol is my drilled/slotted rotors on the correct side?
i know these are directional, and i beleive i had them on the wrong sides.....i switched them to this.....this rotor is the drivers side rear
also, i am using the hawk eps middle stage pads that came in a blue box, and zinc coated rotors from ws6 store.....if anyone is using this combo, see if you can answer my question.......for about 3-5 minutes i was ripping withthe ss, not really pushing limits but being a little rough on the brakes.....when i got out afterwards, this strong stench of brake pads is in the air.....neither front pad smells, but both rears do......is this normal?

The venting inside decided the direction. If your your car is moving forward the vents should be angled towards the back. If the vents are strait out then they are non directional rotors.

The slots need to be digging "into" the pad.
Do this:
1) Stand facing the driver's side of the car.
2) The drilled holes should look like they are curving from the center (hub), towards the front of the car.
In other words, if you were moving forward, the drilled hole at the TOP, OUTSIDE of the rotor should be the first to make contact with the caliper / pad.
The rotor you have pictured is a passenger side rotor, NastyC4
I've always been taught, when it comes to drilled / slotter rotors, it should appear that they "dig" into the pad, not "slice"

I can see the vanes on the hub perfectly clear.
I'm familiar with how a directional rotor works. The one's I've always run look EXACTLY like the ones in the aforementioned photos.... You're drilled holes were throwing me off; Completely. They're drilled opposite.

If the vanes inside the rotor are straight, you can run them anyway you like.
The vanes are what determines left or right. The slots or holes can go any way you prefer, they are only there to look cool anyway.
