Default CTS-V vs Willwood brakes

so the price will be similar with the Willwood kit costing just slightly more, i was wondering how they compared in stoping power. also how big are the rotors in this kit, has anyone used it, and will it fit 17 inch wheels. i am debating on which one to go with, as i have 17's and do not want to space my wheels and not to sure i want to grind $400 calipers.

what i want to know is are these comparable at all, is it a step up from stock brakes, and will they fit stock style WS6 rims with no problems?

i have included a link to the willwood brakes i am looking at:

I am no expert but I think if that kit is designed for f body it is probably a 13" rotor. Ctsv is 14", that alone is a pretty big difference.

If that's true, that's quite impressive. 35lbs. of unsprung weight is pretty serious.

"Designed for vehicles up to 2,800 lbs. with 4-wheel disc brakes."

Saw this on there too. According to what is on the site your car would have to be at that weight or under.

Are you drag racing? I wouldn't consider those brakes for the street. They are designed for lighter vehicles, and not repeated stops.

Those are solid discs not vented, your stock brakes are vented and would work better.
