LS1 spindle
LS1 brake calipers
LS1 brake caliper mounts
New balljoints (recommended, LS1 style)
LS1 rotors
HPS front brake pads

idk if you need the brake lines to do this, but it wouldnt hurt.

I have my fronts swaped to LS1 brakes, they are vastly superior. The banjo Bolt is the same as a 2005 Tahoe 2WD FYI.

So i take it that the wheel bearings are the same? And do any of you know what is different about the balljoints? Reason i ask about the balljoints.. is i just got my car put together last fall and it's got all brand new parts up front. Id hate to change them if i don't have to.

I believe I kept ball joints and hubs from my LT1 parts. I swapped just spindles, calipers, and pads.

new balljoints are not necessary, just recommended, especially if you have over 150k miles. but if they are in good shape, good for you. it is not the end of the world if you dont change them

The spindles are the mounts for the calipers. Don't know why they said you need mounts?? Everything is a direct swap. Any 98-02 fbody will work. V6 or v8. Bearings, abs and joints are the same as lt1 stuff

You have the bracket that bolts to the spindle and the caliper bolts to it ...its not a adapter bracket our anything just the stock Ls1 bracket that holds the clips that the pads slide into

You can use the LT1 spindles you just need to break out the sawzall to cut off the bracket ears.

Ball joints and wheel bearings are the same. You have to bend the brake line bracket slightly to reduce tension on the brake line when turning lock to lock. Use the LT1 brake line, it's longer. Banjo bolts are also the same.

What do you do about the holes for the newer style caliper brackets?

Anyone know the length of the lines needed for this swap? Thinking about having some stainless lines made up. I assume they are longer than the LT1 but how much longer? Dont want a bunch of slack out there.
