Default Camber ?

Hello

For a 4th Gen F-body

1. I would like to know how much camber can you typically get out of the stock front suspension with zero modifications?

2. What modifications (ig: strano upper bushings, GW upper A arm, other) can you do to gain more camber and how much will you gain?

The second question is more focused on other since the strano bushings are not around any more and an A arm change would take me out of my class in Auto X.

It depends on the car. I e.g. could get around -1 on the left and only -0.4 on the right side when stock. With Strano's bushings and his springs I can get up to -2.5

Why would one side be limited to -.04 opposed to the other side, and would it be beneficial to have greater camber on one side than the other?

What do you have right now? I'm around -1.5 and don't have too many issues with understeer. I don't have the bushings. Just car lowered and had a local shop squeeze out as much camber as they could get.

What tires do you have?

I'am going to try to get as much out of it as I can. I currently have practically zero negative camber and am trying to gauge how much I can get out of the stock suspension geometry. I run a 315/35/17 Nitto Nt-05's on all four corners of my car. If I can squeeze -1.5 out of it once I lower the car that will be fine for now.

Awesome! NT-05s aren't bad tires at all. I got them for my street tires but on 275's. I only have the 315s for my race tires.

I will be stepping up to V710's or A6's next year once I put my motor back to stock for ESP.

Just build tolerances of our cars I guess...

If you want to stay ESP legal like you had mentioned, your probably looking at whatever you can squeeze out of all the stock components.. plus maybe the strano offset bushings. You can't legally mess with the bolt holes or change the control arm parts.

Once you get it around -1.5 or -1.8 I think you should be ok. Do you get a lot of understeer?

I'm running -3.0 using GW UCA...i'm very close to the max. could maybe squeeze out another .25 deg.

the guy who recommended the GW UCAs to me was running -2.0 for autox and -1.5 for track
