Default UMI Torque Arm Broken... Anyone see this before?

I took my car to the strip tonight to shake it down, as I have not ran the setup. I did my burnout fine with my m6 on MT ET Street Radials, hit the light, first pass, conservative, 2000 RPM 2 step, launch, boom, clunk, and drag. Something broke. Come to find out was my UMI Tunnel Mount. Never expected this... as I paid for it not to break... I thought. Anyone else seen these? Looked at some pics online, seemed a few have broke in this place? I have done some reading and see this is the old design, and appears that when they do break, its always right there in the other couple instances. I'm gonna hit up UMI on Monday... its a few years old at the least, so we shall see!!!

I don't know much about this but could excessive pinion angle cause something like this to happen?

I agree, but i had triple checked it over the past few months. I believe the sudden hook of the slicks... being I am on a mcleod twin disk, viper t56, and PST Drive shaft, the torque arm was the weak link? Not sure... but IMHO the torque arm should be least of worries?

BTW brother, I got burned on $1600 from a guy named Shane Mauldin from Salisbury, NC. Filed case with Rowan County Sheriffs and all. Still no money. That dude is a DIRTBAG. If you ever see, or here of him, let me know

Yeah I am in the same boat as those other two, except I am running a moser 9" instead of a 12 bolt. Thank god I didn't break my driveshaft though! Then it would have been messy! I was able to get the car home without a problem, also thankful both tubes didn't bust or I would have been SOL also.

Hello Jason, I am replying to your e-mail now you sent. I am sorry to see it happen.

This is an order design and we haven't made this style in 7-8 years.

Thank you,
Ryan
