Default pinion angle gurus PLZ step in

im having an issue adjusting my pinion angle on my 99 trans am.
the parts im working with here are a UMI adjustable torque arm, adjustable
lower control arms, with solid spohn engine mounts, which have raised the
engine assemblyabout an inch. it has a poly trans mount with a stock crossbar,
and a moser 9in. rear end.

the issue im having is, i CANNOT get my final reading to -2* which i know
is optimal for a drag car setup..

the adjuster sleeve is maxed out on the torque arm, and im still getting -4* on the driveshaft, and -3* on my pinion angle, equaling -7*.

anyone have any hints or secrets as to how i can obtain the -2* im looking for?
possibly shim the trans crossbar down? or shim the trans up?

ive looked up quite-a-bit on adjusting pinion angles and havent found the
information i need to know.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Have you considered a TA relocation cross member? UMI and BMR carry them and they will allow for more adjustability of the TA angle from the cross member...but of course, its not cheap.

thanks for the vid sudz, ive seen that one already, and have a prett good idea on
how to adjust pinion angle, just stuck with a maxxed out adjuster collar and still at -7 degrees...not sure if maybe adjusting my adjustable LCA'S to pull the pinion upward would help?

i have a tunnel mounted TA so im assuming thats the mount your talking about?

oh ok...i think i understood that you had a tranny mounted TA. My bad. So you will not be able to adjust from the front of the tunnel brace.

I'm assuming you're on level ground...

not sure if the arithmetic is correct...if i recall correctly the calculation is as follows

DS-PA=TPA so substituting, -4-(-3)= -1 which would make a lot more sense...

here are the spohn TA install instructions...last few pages deal with setting the pinion angle

http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&...Kgv_ybW6vYg3ZA

let me know if it does not work.

ok, starting to make sense.

so reading that spohn write up...ALL my measurements were left of the 0...and the first problem, was that i was taking
all these measurements from the PASS. side.
which would mean that im actually 4pos on the driveshaft, and 3pos on the rear end, equaling 1pos. total degree driveline angle. which is way wrong here...

after reading the directions over and over from spohns sit you provided...
heres how i understand this..measurements MUST be taken from the driverside...pinion angle-driveshaft angle...

pinion=right of 0 is neg.
driveshaft= left of 0 is positive
so i took my measurements and adjusted and took more measurements...and i came up with -8pinon, and -6driveshaft= the -2 degrees i have been going after.
(both readings were taken on the right side of 0)

i fully believe this is correct, if not then i shall go adjust somemore..
