Awesome. How did you like them?

The '99 ran well all weekend on the new 383LS1 and AFR heads. We had the tuner put a 5300 rev limit in as the injectors were at 100%. That will be remedied this week. After all those laps we drove it 120 miles home without missing a beat.

Proof is in the pudding when you can drive a car to events, beat on it, then drive it home. Nicely done.

What dis the new setup make for power?

the 5gen was phenomenal......but they don't need much to be a great handler. The monte was fun.....but felt like there was a bit of disconnect between the front and rear to me. The 4gen felt nice and solid but the rev limit was holding him back a little from really thrashing it.

That said when is the new coil overs gonna be available . I think they will be the hot ticket.

Glad you enjoyed the rides! We definitely still have work to do on all the cars. The 5th gen does very well, tires alone make a huge difference, we love those RE71R's... but we do have the shocks tuned up, alignment changes and bars make a big difference. Power adders to come soon.

The 4th gen is getting better and better, the rev limiter killed us since we were running out of fuel, injectors going in today. The old Rival's didn't help but hard to burn up good tires at those events.

The Monte needs some tuning for sure. We spent so much time swapping the car from an automatic to install the new Bowler 5-speed it didn't leave us any suspension time. We will get it!

We will post some pictures soon.

Backing up a little to finish the updates on the car. We were able to get the car completed in time and tuned for event and all went well. The only snag we ran into was we ran out of fuel at high RPM's so our tuner set the rev limiter at 5200 until we install larger injectors. They just came in and will be installed today.

The engine is extremely healthy and feels awesome. Scott our tuner came up before the event and tuned it, he also felt the car really had a good amount of power.

Our 4th gen is now running one our our newest road race k-members as well as a set of proto-type a-arms that elimiates the t-bar and uses a bearing mount on the a-arm. We also use a bearing mounted sway bar end link for less bind. We are also running a new coil over kit, more info on this shortly.

New boxed a-arms with both bearing mounted shocks and sway bar links.

New road race k-member. We reused our solid mounts, they have been on the car for one season so far and no wear. We will continue to abuse them.

Engine going back in.

Scott tuning the car and working with the wide band.

I also got to ride in all 3 cars at carsile, had an absolute blast, and this sob can drive lol. I couldnt believe how hard that thing pulled on the back straits for only having 63 miles on it lol. I was the one chatting with you sunday, I had the white z28. I will now be purchasing all of my umi goodies shortly.

Yep, both sides do it. We will get it straightened back up after this season and try reinforcing it.

We've ran two successful events on our new engine and some new shock valving we have been trying out. So far all has been great. The car builds power everywhere.. the AFR heads really made a huge difference.

This weekend Jerry ran in All American Sunday at the Goodguys PPG Nationals in Columbus. Jerry placed a respectable 2nd place with his fastest lap time of 35.06. Bryan Johnson took the win in his 5th gen Camaro running a 34.50.

Next our 4th gen is headed to Syracuse this weekend for the Syracuse Nationals where we join Bill Howell and company for the Share the Ride program sponsored by BFG. We will be giving rides all weekend on the track in our 4th gen and '79 Monte Carlo. If you are in the area please stop by the midway or autocross track and see us!

Fresh tires are in from Strano parts. We have been running the new Bridgestone RE71R's and are really happy with them.

So same shocks with different valving or different shocks all together?
Why change, and what specifically did you change with the shock valving? (im guessing more rebound in both high and low speed)

Hey JD, Different shock all together... something we are working on. The Viking's actually worked very well and no reason to really remove them other than trying new things. Although we haven't had a lot of seat time changing isn't always good but we are trying anyhow. ABC Performance's 1970 Chevelle finished 2nd in the Sponsor Shootout at Goodguys this weekend running Viking Crusaders, he was up against some heavy hitters too. The shocks we have now do have more rebound, yes. We will pass on more info shortly on these, stay tuned.

Yes, unfortunately that is as wide as the RE71R's come at this time. We had 295 Rivals but you can't get them right now. The Bridgestones are sticky, we are using them on our 2010 Camaro and 1979 Monte Carlo as well.

Jerry congrats on the event, it was great talking to you about 4th gen roll centers and overall suspension setups. I could have stayed longer but my wife was getting antsy and wanted to let you get back to cleaning the car LOL.

Looking forward to more 4th gen product updates!
