start by replacing all 4 shocks, not just the rear. If you do just the rear you will just accentuate how bad the fronts are. You have some bilstein and now an entry level Koni around the 400 price point for a set of 4, but if your dead broke and just need something to keep it safe on the road till you can drop the 400 on those then you can get a pair of the Monroe Max-Air airshocks for around 50-60 bucks, they will be better then the stock shocks for sure, just run them around 38-40 PSI, but they are useless on lowered applications.

the strange adjustable rears are a good budget friendly option also. Bilsteins would be next. Koni's are excellent, but not so "budget friendly". The fronts alone are nearly $1000

There are different levels for Koni. Koni's STR.T versions are $100/each for the front.

Here you go, these work great with stock springs, Koni SRT.T are another great budget choose, just slightly more.

If handling quality is what you're shooting for, Koni is clearly the best and they're expensive. It's common consensus that the Bilsteins are second in line and they're a great lower cost alternative to Konis. In my opinion, the Bilsteins are a nice upgrade from the stock crappy DeCarbons at only a fraction of the cost of Konis.

Bilsteins are a good budget shock. I paid like $90 each for the rears. Not too bad. Ride quality is much better.
