Bilstein HD's or SLP spec w stock springs.
My WS6 is strictly a DD and I don't want to drop the car I'm rebuilding the front end at same time so it will have all new parts.
My wife gave the the BMR sway bar package and rear lower control arm, panhard bar package for christmas. That's about the extent of suspension mods I have planned for this car
For a stock spring combo which bilstein's are the ones to go with the HD's or the SLP spec bilsteins

I'm researching the same thing right now. The SLP's are supposed to be meant for lowering springs. Now by the looks of it, they are the same shock. The warranty though is in question. The HD's have a lifetime warranty, where the SLP's are 1 year...from what I can tell.

What Sam Strano said to me when I was making my order is that he has never seen nor heard of a bilstein shock physically breaking. And neither have I. That being said, go with the cheaper one.

Buying these shocks/struts are analogous to deciding between SLP pulley or a Powerbond -- they are the same, but SLP usually ends up being cheaper!

I got my SLP Bilstein/Eibach kit when they first came out. Supposedly they were valved differently then, but all I can say is that I love the shocks. The springs are just a little too tall for me, but the car immediately felt more stable and sure footed.
