Default Passenger side motor mount

Trying to get the passenger side mount back in and its a PITA right now..

Here is how I have it now, with just 1 screw started..

waiting on help tomorrow to finish it up, but while I wait for that, I wanted to make sure that you cant install the mount the wrong way, looking at the clamshell mounting holes, it seems (visually, no measuring) that one set is slightly wider apart than the other.. which if my eyes aren't wrong, that there is no way to install wrong..

But can anyone tell me how the passenger side mount goes mounted? Since I have this style mounts, on the passenger side, does the pointed side go toward the oil pan or up toward the heads?

Any help would be great, im sure with help tomorrow we can figure it out, but I would like to make some progress before the help gets here so I can use the help with the transmission install..

thank you

Those little "tabs" in the center of each mount rest right above where the bolt goes through the piece attached to the k-member. Don't forget to check out the sticky in the Gen III external section for advice using the factory jack to get everything back together.

Yea not sure what insert you have or they have in the pic, but the Energy Suspension inserts I bought didn't have the tabs, but got the mount installed and torqued yesterday.. so im set for now on these.

Ah, that explains it -- another plus for Prothane over Energy.

Not that I know of. I never ran the ES engine mounts to compare, though.

I installed the ES poly inserts in my car (LT1 car) about 8-9 years ago. I didn't have any problems....

yea installing them into the clamshell was not a problem, it was trying to get the shell back in to place the right way..

but its all done and moved on to better things now..
