remove front sway bar on full bolt on t/a really worth it?????? please read:)
I Googled this and just would like to hear numbers at the track from just removing the bar. I know it depends on how much you spin which i do spin a ton on the street. I'm running nitto 555 (non drag radial) im sure theres better traction at the track but don't want to get there to find I should've removed it. So if anyone has some feedback /times improved from just this mod please let me know. Cars a A4/3:23 running 32lbs rear 38 front. If i preload at a traffic light and floor it i spin the a MF until I let off the gas. Thx

Everything in drag racing is about thousandths of a second. On paper it helps by reducing weight and reducing resistance to extension. The real benefit would maybe be measured in a few thousandths.
On a car destined to drive home, hit a back road, have some cornering fun and so on it probably is better to keep it on.
If you're running a 12.01 and are looking for 11.99 then maybe worth it.
My 2 cents.

Anytime I am going to the track for a personal best I ALWAYS take off the sway bar. When my car was stock internal I took it off to help assist my goal of 11.9. The car made it and I do believe 15lbs off the nose and the better transfer of weight did help.
But I will say I HATE not having one on the street. I am someone who can feel its not there. Try swerving on the highway to miss something in the road and tell me I cant notice its not there. You will change your tune real quick lol

Another vote for drag radials. Your car is not going to be very fun to drive around with the front sway bar disconnected.
I'm running a A4/3.42 with a Yank SS3200 converter, and I can't even begin to hook on street tires, I have to have drag radials if I want any traction off the line. I would say you'll probably enjoy that more than driving a car with no front sway bar.

The sway bar on my HCI Camaro is gone (that way when I bought it), and it sways EXCESSIVELY at interstate speeds now. I also have bad shocks/springs that need replaced, but I'm assuming the sway bar is the biggest factor. It is to the point that it's not as enjoyable to drive. Whenever I the it back on the road from my turbo build it will definitely have a front sway bar on it, even if it does cost me a tenth at the strip. Of course, mine is more of a street car than a strip car, so it all just depends on what you want to do with it I guess.

I've read that you can disconnect the sway bar on one end to get the same effect (besides weight loss). That sounds like something you could easily do at the drag strip's parking lot and not take a risk on the highway.
