Shock Tower Brace
Which one do I need to clear my LSx 102 intake for a 2002 TA? I purchased a used one and it hits the intake....not sure what brand it is....maybe a UMI or Spohn.
Thanks............

Hey LS3. When we're talking to customers we always decline on 102 intakes. There is potential to only have 1/4" or so clearance between the intake and the hood. I'm not sure anyone makes a 2-point that thin. You could try the silly putty (or play-doh) test to verify the clearance.

The Hotchkiss STB is probably the thinnest out there
(uses a pair of ~ 1/2" tubes instead of one 1") and the
mounting "feet" are separate with cross-bolts, look
like a trivial bit of welding to add an extension that puts
the crossbar clear of the manifold (clearance from there
to hood, I couldn't say).
