Default Parking brake parts

Long story short. I'm missing the little pin that goes into the adjuster/plunger of my parking brake. Also I need to replace the rubber boot where the cam attached to the cable goes through. All the rebuild kits I've found so far have neither of these. Does anyone no where i can find these other than the junk yard.

You have two four choices:
- Buy an entirely new brake assembly from GM
- Go to a junk yard
- Go to Australia (where the brake parts are made)
- Buy parts from someone who has done the footwork to Australia

Weighing all of the above, I'd suggest going to a junk yard to get the pin. Its not a wear part and it lives its life in a blob of grease, so you should be able to get a like-new piece.

For the boots, this person has done the leg work to Australia and is the only person offering a fair price (right now) for them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/111900009056

If you are feeling adventurous, you can also try my rubber nipple mod, which is still in the road testing phase and not yet fully proven... https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspensio...xperiment.html

Rubber Nipples... bet you didn't see that one coming?

Yep that's the one looks like they sell it in packs of 6 but I am on my phone so it's hard to tell. I found it on Amazon in a single pack for about $23. Thank you for the help. Still need to figure out/decide what to do about the boot.

I heard of some people using drill bit stem to make a new pin. When I lost one thats what I did, cut to length, round the ends to a ball shape, voila. For the boot I took some fiberglass heat wrap and cut to shape, slit in the center, and it seemed fine. Sold them shortly after since I did a parking brake delete.

What's wrong with the two options I gave you? One of them is stock. I just ordered it myself as a backup to option #2 and they are the real deal.

I'm wary about that Wagner kit. I'd be interested to see how it works out for you.

Sorry WSSix I will prob get the boots that you suggested just to save me the hassle of going to the junkyard. As for the pin I may order the wagner kit just to see if they work, plus my hardware could be replaced as it looks a little rough. If all else fails I'll either make my own pins or see if my buddy who is a machinist can make me one with the specs that were given by FirstYrLS1Z. I really appreciate all the help guys.

Oh, I'd never suggest the junkyard for the boots. They deteriorate quickly and I doubt you find food Ines. I was thinking more about the pin.

Still no takers on the nipple mod...
