So this horrible winter we are dealing with up in North Dakota is finally breaking and I'm getting a chance to work on my car. Installed a set of Strano springs and koni sports. I tried to install them a couple of weeks ago and had the unpleasent surprise when I removed my factory front shock of too much rust to get the old shock out to reuse the upper mounts. So I ordered up Monroe upper mounts isolators and insulators. Having all those the install when super smooth and I couldn't be more happy with the results. I thought about using the lower spring perch and heater hose mod but I'm glad I didn't as I'm happy with the height of the vehicle now.
Handling wise it was an incredible improvement over the stock springs and 80k mile decarbons. The ride is just as comfortable as stock but more aggressive when you need it. Just doing these along removed almost all body roll. I also ordered a set of Sam's hollow sway bars but they have been on back order, I am excited to see how much more they reduce body roll.
I know how you feel. My stock DeCarbons and springs had about 80k when I changed to Konis and BMR springs. The biggest thhing I noticed was much less body roll. What surprised me is that even though the ride is stiffer it's actually less harsh and brittle feeling over bumps.
The Strano/Koni setup (I have the bars too) definitely hits bumps harder, but it's mostly tire slap, as the Konis quell the entire event into a single motion rather than all the weak-kneed adjusting the stock setup does as it takes a set.
