Default Car shacking at highee speeds

Ok car is 2000 firebird with a4 has 180000 on it .the car shacks when I drive about 90 and above. I just had an alignment and new tires put on I do not feel the shacking in the steering wheel. What could this possibly be?

If it happened right after getting new tires, I'd suspect a bad tire, or poor balancing job.

The car was shaking before and after I thought it was all because I really need tires and alignment. But the shaking in the steering wheel is gone the rest of the shaking is still there I only feel it when I am about 90mph. If I step on it and start to accelerate I don't feel it only when I am crushing at higher speeds

Moving fro General Maint. to Suspension and Brakes as I bet the problem is there or in the driveline. We may get more input there.

A wheel balance issue would come up at lower speeds.

Maybe don't drive that fast. If there was vibration in the steering wheel and now it is gone... but there is still vibration it could be a bent wheel that was moved from the front to the back. You could rotate the tires and see if it follows the axle. Something rotating is causing the vibration is all that anyone on here will be able to say for certain without more details. Could be the driveshaft, does the vibration go away in neutral... Could be a wheel out of round or bent.

Tired motor mounts and transmission mounts will cause stuff to get misaligned.

Who mounted the tires?
