Default Car worse in the rain after lowering?

i got new shocks and springs (koni strt and strano) and I got stuck driving through some heavy Florida rainfall , it was fine until I got to some puddles and that’s where the car felt less planted than before.
can lowering it make it more susceptible to hydroplaning ?

Did you have it realigned after the work was done? Anytime you change spring/shock rates it can effect handling.

Lowered cars need LCA relocation brackets to return the LCA geometry to stock.. LCA relos contain 2 sets of holes, the lowest is for drag racing traction, the highest is for proper street geometry.

Stock alignments have pretty much zero negative camber. Did you realign to stock specs, or something with increased negative camber? Negative camber can make the car want to hydroplane more because you basically allow deep water to form a wedge under the outside of the tire. Hydroplaning is how the tires pump water, all else being equal springs do not change that. But the alignment sure can.

they set it to stock alignment but did rotate the tires and I realized my tears are 7 years old , ok tread but made 29th week of 2011, don’t know if that could have an effect on it.

It ain't helping. Try using a 7 year old pencil eraser, it's pretty hard. And in the rain, the tire has to pump water, but you also rely heavily on the mechanical grip of the rubber to the road.

In road racing when I have a car in the wet the suspension get reset to full soft.
On one car I take care of I unhook the sway bars completely. Of course I'm also going to a
tire thats so soft it turns your hands black when you put them on the car..
Also set shocks to full soft,, and have a set of softer springs for a couple cars.

I would necessarily do this on the street, just illustrates the direction that helps..

Race tires are typically dead ~12-18 months after manufacture whether they have been mounted or not,
I use them to brake in pads and rotors on a practice day.. worth about 2 seconds on a 2.9 mile track..
