yeah, try turning (adjusting) that little gold colored wheel that the ebrake connect to. If you get under the car, you may be able to reach it from the inside without having to take your tire off. This is what I used to adjust the height of my e-brake lever engagement.

on my old 88 GMC Jimmy there was a part that the cable from the rear brakes looped around that had another cable in it from the pedal. there was a nut on the backside of the part that could be tightend which would pull up any slack.

its not that. i had to remove the rear to take it to the shop to get worked on. Theres this ring that goes around this clyindrical tube that has this weird shaped key that comes in from the rear. Well i removed that and now when i place that key through the back it doesnt seem like it has any pressure.and the parking brake is real loose.

if you take that gold colorded wheel off, there should be a small metal pin inside all the grease (it's shaped like a tic-tac). that can fall out and if it does, you will have no pressure as you describe. Take a look and see if it's still inside there.

i think you need to post a pic of exactly what this key is that is not plugged in. What color is it? if you can't post a pic, email me at tosetek@yahoo.com
