Default Hotchkis Sport Springs

I was looking at Hotchkis sport springs, or something like that. It says it will lower the car 1 inch. Anyone have any comments on these?

I have Hotchkiss springs on mine, they were exactly 1"
drop front and rear. The ride is reasonable on small
irregularities but hard on big bumps (progressive rate).
Some of that may have to do with the shocks too. I
found that the back looked a bit low after the swap
despite the even F-R drop, similar complaints w/ the
Eibach Pro-Kit. I use air shocks at fairly low pressure
to get a little bit of rake. I think they're not bad though
if I were to do it over, I would probably go with the
SLP Eibachs and their 3/4" drop and slightly softer,
more comfortable rate. I have no handling complaint
with the Hotchkiss though, and ride is "tolerable" but
not "factory comfort level".

I have these springs too. They give the car a slight rake in the rear which is better than having a rake in the opposite direction as does a Pro Kit. As for the ride, the are fairly comfortable compared to some of the cars that I have ridden in that have a Pro Kit.

I have them too, and I am very pleased. I wouldn't say the ride is "rough" compared to stock, but I feel more of the road than I used to. Plus, I'm using cheap shocks, since it's my daily ride and not a track car.

Cool

I just put these springs and Bilstein HD's on 2 1/2 weeks ago....I think the ride is still very comfortable, but not as spongy, and nowhere near as much body roll as the stock springs & shocks. The drop looks more like an 1 1/4", but still pretty conservative compared to most lowering springs.

My Camaro is my daily driver, so I narrowed my selection to the Hotchkis springs, with the Suspension Techniques springs coming in second. Two other springs I might have bought are no longer in production, the G2 Super springs, and the Hypercoils that LGM was replacing the G2 SS springs with...

The car now feels like it should have from the factory, and I'm very pleased with the results.

Pics linked in the sig...

I ordered mine (and a Hotchkis APHB) from Tommy Byrne Motorsports....they were running a special last August that basically eliminated the shipping charge.

Pro Kit here and it dosent sag in the rear. And your saying my car isnt comfortable, get shocks and see how your ride changes. The Pro kit is too soft for me, just wait till I get a front sway bar and better springs, then Ill give you a race car ride.

Arizona Speed & Marine also sells them, not sure if they are a sponsor or not. www.azspeed.com I think it is.
