FWIW i use the NAPA ceramic pads.
Lifetime warranty, no squeaks, no dust.
Try em...

It may sound weird with all the research and aftermarket companies out there, but the OEM pads are the most quiet and least (or close to) dusty ones out there. If you are not autocrossing then these should be perfect for any other use (ie-drag racing, daily driving, or just a spirited run around the country)

Man, I have over 42K on my original set of OEM pads, but are close to replacement time. Replacement costs on OEM vs. aftermarket are about the same from my research.

Yup, the stock pads, I know it seems too simple, but they really work and GM did something right again (like the LS series engines)

OE GM replacement pads(the stock replacement pads, not the durastops), or Raybestos Quiet Stop. I've used both, and they are great from a no squeak/low dust point of view. I won't switch unless/until I start doing track work.

Looks like Durastops are more expensive than the hawks. Looks like hawks are like 80 for front and 70 for rear? That seems expenseive.

I will try gm brake pads. I have tried napa brake pads once, but they squeeked and broke on me, but to be fair those were their 30 dollar front brake pads - you get what you pay, so the story goes...

[B] Durastops suck...if you want a nice pad go with the Akebono Pro Ceramic pads from tirerack.com i think they ran me $80 for fronts and i replaced my warped stock rotors after only having 45k mileage on them with brembo OEM. Make sure you torque all your lug nuts to around 110ftlb for stock rims (mine is f body ws6) impact guns will **** up your rotors in the long run and you will get brake pulsation.

Please note that when I say Stock Replacement Pads, I do not mean Durastops. I think there are 2 different GM pads - the stock replacements, and the durastops. I have no experience with durastops, I recommend the stock replacements (or the raybestos Quiet Stops). If memory serves, the durastops are cheaper and they are in the gm performance parts lineup.
