Default anyone running a rod ended panhard rod?

I'm thinking of getting one of these, but I dont' know what the advantage would be over getting one that has poly bushings.

I have a rod-end BMR PHB. It works great but any noise the rearend might make is transmitted directly to the body. That's how I found out there's quite a bit of play side-to-side in my axles. It makes this loud clicking noise that drives me insane.

I have a rod ended PHR and it is loud as heck. I will go to a poly/rod or poly/poly soon.

Wow... I'm glad I don't have the roads y'all must have. My rod ended PHR has been totally silent on our kick *** Ohio roads.

I also have a rod end phb with no noise. The rear end feels solid, very responsive.

I'll keep the rod-ends and switch to a Moser 12-bolt.

How long did it take you for your rod ends to run out? What brand rod ends are you running qa1?

I've got one of the UMI panhard rods with a rod end on the axle side, and poly on the frame side. Can't say that I've noticed any additional noise at all with it on there.

Same set up as above with rod end on axle side and poly on subframe, only its a Spohn PHB. Haven't noticed any noise from the bar really. Maybe because the poly is on the body side and absorbs most of it.

It shouldn't matter which side the poly is on.

The better the quality of the rod end, the quieter it will be and the more satisfied you will be. That's why it doesn't often pay to go as cheap as possible.

Hehe yeah, didn't mean for my post to read like it did. Just referring to mine being on the body side there.

I wasn't refering to you. I was just making a general statement because some people believe there is a right and wrong side to mount it on.

I have a rod/rod PHR here with QA1 ends, and it started making noise after about 3k miles or so. It isn't all that bad though and I'll live with it...what I won't live with is a poly/rod or rod/rod LCA.

Hey guys, there may be a better alternative to rod/rod LCA bushings. A lot of folks say they are too noisy, why not use a rodend on one side only to prevent binding and a stiff rubber bushing on the other to soak up the vibrations? I was thinking about welding up something like that using a 1LE bushing and a rod end. Well I just ran across this thread, check it out:
