Is it true it will not clear aftermarket exhaust?

It looks like a very nice and stout piece!

Yes it will, we currently have two versions. One set-up is designed for Stock exhaust and Kooks Long tube/y-pipe system and the other will work with virtually any long tube header set up. They will not work with ture duals. The link below is the set-up for long tubes. Hope that helps!

Ah I see... so this one has the slight dip in the cross brace to clear the exhaust pipe? Does it come with hardware to bolt up to the tunnel? Also I hear longer bolts are needed to bolt to the rear end?

Yes you are correct, the dip is designed for aftermarket Y-pipes and we have confirmed it to clear most to all systems, or at least the popular systems. All hardware needed to install is included, this includes the correct bolts to mount it to the tunnel area.

We do have an option to add replacement hardware when you order, this is for the rear-end. We do highly recommend the new hardware, stock bolts will *work* however are too short.

We will have installation pictures up in the next few days.

Thanks again!

So are these ready to ship out as of now? Do you think these will work with the QTP header and Y-pipe setup? I sent you some pictures of the bottom of my car a few weeks back.

Yes within the next month or so we will have a transmission mounted torque arm that will clear with duals....hopefully a torque arm relocation kit sometime after that.

Hope that helps!

This is straight from our web site: The torque arm is attached to the supplied cross brace using an Energy Suspension polyurethane bushing set-up on both the supplied cross brace and torque arm (See Picture Below). Polyurethane was chosen as a mounting point to keep road noise at a minimum and eliminate unwanted “clunks” found with other set-ups available.

There is no noise issues or concerns with this set-up. If you have any questions please ask and I am glad to help!

hear you thought of making a TA with a spherical bearing at the front mount instead of a poly bushing. So there is no binding for the autox/RR guys?

Poly is too harsh for my extra sensitive behind. How hard would it be to come up with some rubber to replace that poly?

I doubt we will be offering rubber as an option for this item. We found no loss of ride quality with this set-up and it is virtually unnoticeable.

We do have a transmission mounted torque arm coming out in about a month. This arm will allow you to use a stock GM rubber busing on the transmission in polyurethane is not wanted.

Hope that helps

So this setup wont make the clunking noise because it is poly/poly instead of poly/spherical like the spohn?
