Both the auto and manual use a standard GM trans mount. Just leave out the preload plate and cut the bumps off and you shouldn't get any added noise.

I didn't even cut off the bumps, just no proload plate.

Hi

I assume the preload plate raises the tranny tail shaft which changes the pinion angle which in turn causes the vibration?

If I have an adjustable torque arm then the pinion angle can be readjusted. Or just chuck it, as the spacer is completely unneccessary anyway?

Thanks JA

The preload plate crushes the poly material packing it very tightly. This changes the stiffness of the poly which allows more NVH to pass through it. Just look at this pic.

The preload plate squishes the material tighter. I don't know why they made it like that, but leaving the plate off and removing the bumps doesn't seem to hurt anything.
