best 1" lowering springs???

lately it seems people are liking the the stock springs with koni single adjustables. Then they just do the heater hose mod to the rear. YES! you are going to need to get some new shocks if your going with lowering springs well at least if you want a good setup.

That doesn't lower the car an inch though. I have BMR springs and I like them. Lowered the car a little more than an inch after the springs settled. I don't scrape on anything though so I'm happy

I went with the Hotchkis springs on a lot of vehicles i've lowered and it was the best IMO. The Pro kit is a little soft for me and I haven't had to many others I did the heater hose thing on a few it wasn't quite low enough to match the fronts. If you have some QA1's then you can compensate for the rake. I used the stock struts and if they aren't worn out then you can use them with out any problems. But if you buy some that are valves for lowered vehicles such as the Bilsteins that SLP was selling they do ride better very hard to tell but you can. That is the only info I can offer you. In my signature you can see what the Hotchkis looks like on my car with stock struts and shocks.

Hotchkiss gave me a dead-on 1" drop. I went with SLP
Bilsteins but found the combo too harsh in the back,
and the even 1" drop ended up making the car look
too low in back as well. So I went and put Gabriel
air shocks for that Adjusto-Mullet capability. Still a
bit hard riding in the back (I think 'verts have less
***-meat than the glass-hatch sedans) though
better than the Bilsteins' comfort level, no bounce
or untoward handling effects I have seen. I will
be retrying the stock rear springs w/ heater hose
one of these days soon (the front combo, I like).
I'd say, be sure you are dropping it for the right
reasons, because it's expensive and may detract
from performance.

Yea I have the Hotchkis and SLP Bilsteins and I love it, gave me the 1" I wanted, but it was a little to low in the back for me so I put a little piece of heater hose between the coil of the back springs and it raised it the 1/4" I wanted(I am picky)

What about the heater hose mod in the back, and relocating the front springs to the lower perch. nobody mentioned relocating the front springs to the lower perch? This would give you a 3/4" drop all around and you would still keep the rake.

Spring keep the car off the road. If u lower the car you need more spring rate to keep the car of the road. If you get higher rate springs you need more rebound in the shocks. To get a good ride you will need new shocks. I got ground control springs. I lower 3/4 inch so I got 400 lb/in With ground control you can ajust hide height and pick the spring rate you want. they cost 360
