I think you're mixing apples and oranges. Disk brakes in back so no shoes, only pads, rotors, and calipers.

That's because all 98+ cars have 4 wheels discs and use pads and not shoes. Actually, they do use shoes still, but they are only for the parking brake and not the service brakes.

I have a lot of different types of rear pads, and prices start around $50 for a set and go up from there. You can get cheaper pads, but you get cheaper pads that don't stop as well. I won't sell garbage, especially when we are talking about the brakes of a 300+ HP 3400+ pound car. If someones wants to risk their life, they aren't doing it with my parts on the car.

You know I am actually looking into this myself. I'm looking to do the rear swap to either LS1 or C5 rear brakes on my Blazer it has a smaller rear disc and a different caliper. The question is that the E-brake shoes are supposed to be the same for a Blazer AND a Vette (which you can get at most auto parts) I'm wondering if it happens to be the same for a Camaro/T/A if it is then that will answer both our questions.

Are they really worn out? If so, what did you do?

E-brake slides? lol

I just rebuilt my 9" and ended up having to order them from GMPartsDirect.com. They come as a complete set with the brake backing plates. They are a special order part though, so make sure you give it a good 3 or so weeks to come in.

Here's the part numbers (yes, there's a price difference, but don't ask me why)

10444623 - less expensive
10444624 - more expensive

Yea I'm actually in the process of finding out kida in a reverse way none of the auto parts even list a shoe for the F-bodies and the dealer is useless even with vin numbers So what I'm gonna do (as soon as the people in Cali wake up) is talk to the guys at Power Slot they keep all the specs of their rotors and see if all the mini drums are the same size. If they are I can only assume they are the same part. I'll figure it out some how Oh and at Advanced Auto has 'em for $95 Raybestos.

Is there anybody out there who works at a dealer and knows how to use the computer? I've spent easy 3-4 hours trying to figure this out and nobody seems to know anything about these E-brakes on the F-bodies.

those are part #s for some kind of plate. and the difference is with traction control & abs or without. i havent checked yet but, if the aftermarket says dealer item only it probally is. unless the guy asked you. do you want fries with dat. dont mess around with brakes it could be lethal.

behold the power of the internet thanks man.

o and for those wondering i dint do anything and i dont even know if they are wornt out or not, but iam going to be changing the rear rotors and putting new pads casue they warping worst than the enterprice so i figure might as well change them shoes while iam at it. Well actually i did notice that i have to tighten the hand brake a little more but that could just be and adjustment issue most likely. To tell u the truth i had given up on them already but i guess i'll check out that parts direct number.
