Default What's involved with slamming my C5?

I'm looking to slam my car.. curious as to what kits are out there, and hear your guys' feedback on what set up you chose. .. any suggestions? tips? I want as little wheel gap as poss..

I don't care about ride quality, just handling. and appearance, of course!

Thanks guys!

Your C5 will handle its best at it current hiegth. If you want to lower it, the only thing it will cost you is time. With the design of the corvette suspension, you can adjust your heigth with the bolts that are on the end of the leaf springs. There are some write-up's on this on the corvette forum and other corvette sites.

yes to lower your car is free, all you have to do is turn some bolts on the leaf springs and cut the rubber bushings from the bolt

Here goes a link to a site that give instructions on how to swap springs.

http://www.ls1howto.com/index.php?article=20

Before you call off topic, please look at the method of where they tell you where to tape on order to retain the ride height before changing springs. Those are the bolts you adjust for ride heights. Further down, there is also a method for allowing some more lowering. Also, another guy has suggestions for lowering.

you don't really have to change the leaf springs unless you wanted to, just turn the screws. or if you have the cash get an adjustable coil over kit.
