I just finished poly motor mounts this past weekend. I love 'em. It doesn't vibrate as much as it just rumbles in sync with the motor.

Where do buy the poly mounts at?

http://www.lmperformance.com/2644/1.html

I don't see the poly ones..don't you think solid is too much for a street car though and could break something?

any local auto parts store would have them. some sponsors do sell them and are actually alot cheaper from them too. autozone i think has them for like $10 more then you would get them shipped from a sponsor

How hard is it to change the motor mounts. I have been thinking about doing it since I have been driving the car alittle more lately.

It means that I felt no appreciable gain in vibration after installation of one or both poly motor mounts. I did feel a slight increase in vibration through the chassis when replacing the 1LE trans mount with a poly mount.

So, my humble advise to those who want to get benefit of poly mounts, but want to give up as little comfort as possible, just replace the driver's side motor mount with poly and leave the pax side mount and trans mount alone (or use the 1LE trans mount).

torq side has poly, pass side has rubber: newer "1le" trans mount. so far so good.

Okay, I have all stock mounts and a nasty cam with true duals dumped and my motor and car both shake and rumble. Any change in the bin will be rattling like a begger's cup. Also my shifter shakes back and forth with the motor. (did that stock, even) Does this mean my stock mounts are shot?

I like it, as it's cool as hell. Could going poly or even solid be any worse than what I'm already seeing? And what's this I hear about KR with solids???? That's a major detail on a DD car, especially for me out here with crummy gas and big heat. I want my knock sensors fully functional, thankyouverymuch.

Quite the contrary, actually. Switching to at least one poly engine mount will dramatically reduce the amount of shaking that you feel in the chassis and see in the shifter at idle when you have a lumpy cam. I guarantee that with poly mounts you will be surprised how smooth the engine feels even when it lopes...

Awesome. What about solid motor mounts. Are they worse than what I am experiencing currently and will they give KR? If they're no worse and won't screw up my knock sensors, then I figure I may as well go with that....

Wait... I have a BMR K-Member. Does that mean I already have poly mounts? (Speed Inc did the install, so know I don't know, LOL!)

Having an aftermarket K-member doesn't preclude use of the stock motor mounts. It would have been a good time to swap them for poly, but doesn't mean it was done. The poly mounts reuse the stock "clamshell" so its difficult to tell just by looking under there too. If you can get a good look, then check whether the stock "clamshell" brackets bolted to the block are still riveted together. If so then you will still have the rubber mounts.

I've never used solid mounts, so can't help there...

Hmm, it appears that the BMR kmember is incompatable with them.

Well having done this i must say that the Poly motor and Poly Trans Mount were the best thing for me...also thepoly will work best with all the aftermarket K-members i have considered making this a great start for upgrades..

I would recommend these to any!

You guys that are only doing a poly mount on one side - you do know that they raise the engine right? Your motor is going to sit slightly angled to one side. I'm not sure if this affects anything, but remember its bolted to the transmission so wouldn't this turn the tranny a little bit also?

I have Prothane mounts on both sides, put them in w/
the BMR K-member. Just a little more idle shake which
I quickly stopped noticing.
