Default pics of Koni shocks and stock/hotchkis springs

From what Sam told me there are 2 ride hights with the Koni SA's I ordered. I thought about messing with mine.

I'd like to see if anyone has any pics of ur car with these shocks and either stock or hotchkis springs. I have hotchkis springs now and to me it seems the front sits about 1/2 higher than the rear. So what I thought about doing is lowering the front with the shocks or putting the heater hose mod on the bottom of the rear spring to rise it up a bit.

So, if ur car is lowered with these springs and stock shocks, hotchkis springs and these shocks lemme see them and let me know if u have the hotchkis springs and lowered it more...
can anyone hook me up with some pics?

Koni/Hotchkis. Measures at right around 26.5" from ground the top of each fender well, both front and rear. You shouldn't use the "lowering" perch on the front shocks with anything other than the stock springs. I'm not even sure the spring would be physically long enough. Measure everything and make sure before you go modifying stuff.

so why does mine messure 27.25" with stock shocks and hotchkis springs? my rear measures 26.5" I'll get the Konis on in the next few days and HOPEFULLY somehow it'll level out.

Hey Predator, I am picking some springs soon. your ride hide looks perfect. Did you remove the rear isolators? Also, would you recommend the Koni's or revalved Bilsteins by Strano?

You ought to contact Sam himself. He's very helpful and does know quite a bit of what will help, what is overkill, and what are common fleeces. While he can give strong advice he will not force it on you as he will sell you anything you absolutely want, even though it might not be what you need. Give him a try.

predator, did u put the lower spring perch on the lower setting? I've never asked anyone or seen pics but with mine there are to slots for the perch to sit...1/4" difference. Sam told me there was a 3/4" difference on the low perch setting...don't see how that is possible.

Only with stock springs. On a lowering spring, you use the upper perch.

Jon2kZ, it looks like your front sits higher than the rear?

I'm guessing so...all I did was put everything back the way it came out. should I have taken it out? will it change the ride quality or make noise?

Yeah I didn't notice that either until I saw the pics. Those are the ones taken on a hill, whichever end was on the uphill side looks higher. The ones on the flat look better, like the first pic by the ocean.

Both F&R fender lip measure 26 3/4"

Some one explain to me the rear spring mod. Remove the isolator and then what I have read talk of a hose being added. Where top or bottom and what type of hose.
I have spoken to Sam as well and am staying with stock springs and purchasing the Koni's first. So this hose mod is a must.
Wish I had spoken to sam first. Anyone need Bilstein HD's with 1500 miles on them. They will be priced to sell.

there is a thick rubber piece sitting on top of ur rear springs...the isolator. if u take it out and to the "heater hose" mod then it will lower the rear of ur car about 1/2"...sometimes a lil more from what I've seen in pics. I'm not for sure what dia. hose to buy but I know it's heater hose cuz it's re-inforced rubber hose.
