How to pull brake pads further from rotor?
Hey guys, just wondering how to pull the brake pads a little further from the rotors without them getting too loose? I was cleaning my rotors today and was checking my brake pads and they were actually rubbing again my rotors without the brakes being pressed.

I don't know if you can. Doesn't the piston only retract to the point of minimal friction on the pad when you let off the brake? I know the pistons CAN go in further, but I don't think they will on their own.

Dude if you have build up on the actual part of the rotor that the brake touches then when you start driving the car and put on brakes then the brakes are going to scrape that stuff off. Its like when you go outside and your car has been sitting there in the rain for a while and there is rust on the rotors. Once you drive it and stop they are shiny again
