That looks really nice, it's supposed to be ~25 pounds lighter than the stock K-member, is it? Post up pics of it when it's installed.

Steve, thats great to hear

Yes use the factory hardware, all the lengths and holes sizes are made for them. We just installed another one today (LT1 version) and it fit excellent with no issues, you will 100% fine.

Thanks again!
Ryan

I wanna see it installed on your car, I need one too, but I have no idea where to start the removal of the stock one. Plus it be nice to hear some feedback from people who have experience with the new one. Pics of the install would be awesome.! Good luck and great part.

What material is this made of? Is it capable of regular street use and occasional autocross abuse?

nice. once its been proven on a road course and autox track over a season, i will have one of these for sure. im not concerned about street durability, as i am very confident in UMI's ability to build a stout peice, its just that racing environments take the abuse to a whole nother level

Exactly my thoughts. As soon as I have heard from guys here on the board that it will survive on a street car, I'm placing my order for one. It's awesome that it fit without any "modifications" like I'm sure we're all used to with aftermarket pieces.

got the front suspension back on.. i did have one problem. but nothing major. connecting the steering joint back on was alil different as if the rack is moved forward some. maybe if i loosen up the rack bolts and the k member, the tolerances wouldve cleared fine. alil bit and then attach it, it would be nothing to note. but i got it without probs just a lil screw driver and moved the holes to line them up and drop in the bolt.

Looks great!
