i need new brakes mine suck hard..stock with about 18000 squeeky *** miles on them..
i was lookin for some brakes that would be quiet and would stop well and also have less brake dust.. i was told ceramic would do this for me..
others say that there are better out there..im lookin to only replace the front brakes..
my rotors have never been turned or machined and are not warped..*crosses fingers**
help me out
thanks

I just installed the raybestos quietstops 2 weeks ago. Fronts only though. I put semi-metallic on the rears. I don't think they make ceramics for the rears.
The dust is minimal compared to stock IMO. They cost me $69. I had my rotors turned too. Next time I'll buy the autozone rotors. They are cheap and good quality.
Good Luck

I got Ceramics from NAPA and they work great... is it possible that they don`t dust at all cause I have yet to see any dust.. I love `em!

thanks alot folks...i know i need new pads and these sound like a good buy..they will be silent wont they?? thats very important and performance is important..i wash so often the rims dont get that coated but id love to have no dust...
when replacing the pads should i do rotors also? i mean like the autozone rotors cause i have no spare money thanks to a recent screw up..
TIA

Does Autozone carry rotors for the rear also?? I plan to buy the Hawk pads. I love negative Gs <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" /> and dust washes of <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> . I don't have a show winner here. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
