I'm assuming these are the stock endlinks? If so, don't beat yourself up about, there are plenty of people that have done this (me being one of them). Mine failed in the exact same way yours did, the stock bolts just aren't up to the torsional stress being applied when trying to take them off. Just go to your local autozone and buy a set of poly endlinks. They come with grade 8 bolts so you don't have to worry about his happening again.

Those endlinks that came with your Strano bars are exactly what I was reffering to. You'll really like the new sway bars.

Well I got everything buttoned up (or so I thought) and took it out for a spin and heard some clunking so I came back and tightened the endlinks down some more. Still clunking. After looking closer I see there is not much clearance between the sway bar and the tie rod. The pics will tell the story. Is this normal?? If not what can I do to fix it?? (short of putting the stocker back on) Thanks.

See where the bottom portion of the endlink is currently residing? That black rubber piece should fit all the way up inside that cavity/bore. You shouldn't be able to see the bottom gromit. It should be attached to the top portion of that arm and not the bottom.

If you position it correctly it will raise the sway bar much higher and give you the proper clearance.
