The F1's are bald and the Nitto's make my F1's look in good shape *L*. So it's time for new boots. A local company has the following tire in stock, anyone ever hear anything about these or have experience with 'em? They're going for about $150ish each (275/40R-17) which is a hell of a lot better than new F1's!!!!!!!!! They're "W" speed rated, and look like a nice tire - I just haven't heard of 'em before. I will be putting new Nitto's back on next summer when the track reopens, just need some new ones in the meantime.

I haven't heard of them, but you might want to check out tirerack. I got some Kumho 712's at $110 ea. Pretty good if ask me.

Hey Stevie...well with the way the car spins even the Nitto's now...I think pretty much anything I put on there will suck for traction *L*. Jay, the only thing is where I live, finding a tire in stock locally at even 150 is still cheaper in the long run than having one shipped in that lists at 110... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Hey Bill you might try ordering from discount tire since they include shipping free! There's no Duty so you just pay the tax.

Steve, you sure there's no duty on tires? I don't have the receipt anymore but I'm sure I got dinged for all the crap and brokerage too on my last set of Nitto's thru Discount Tire... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

What about used tires?

I have 4 275/40/17 Goodyear GSCs I wiould sell for $350. There is maybe 60-70% tred remaining.

I certainly would have considered that mitchntx, if I'd read the forum earlier... <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> ...I went ahead and picked up those Cooper's today. Was in a bit of a time jam though, hitting the road next week for a couple thousand mile trip...
