Eibach Sportline Lowering Kit
Ok, so I am thinking about getting some sportline lowering springs. Only question I have is. What shocks should I buy to go with them? and is there a better set of springs that will lower it the same amount?

DO NOT get the sportlines. If you do want to get them then u have to make sure u get good shocks. I have sportlines on the stock decarbons and the ride is terrible, i have no traction, and with ORY and headers, i have about an inch of clearance. I havent been able to drive my car for a few months cause of my stupid mistake to get sportlines. I would call Sam and talk to him. Just my 2 cents, although the drop of the sportlines looks real sick, but not practical, nor comfortable.

Yeah, I would stay away from the sportlines and go with an Eibach Pro-Kit if you want a decent drop (it drops the car about 1.6"). Your best bet is to call Sam Strano so he can talk to you about your budget/ individual setup. www.stranoparts.com is his website, just call the techline.

i have sportlines on my Z28 and it rides better than my friends WS6 that has pro-kit imo. Also my traction seems fine as i cut 1.8 60fts on street tires (falkens) and i have stock shocks and my only other suspension mod is LCAs (no relocation brackets). Although i do scrape all the time and my y pipe sits half a beer can off the ground lol.

And? Tires, pressues, other suspension mods all effect ride. Further, your bumpstops are not the same between your Z28 and a WS6 or SS.
Sportlines, IMHO, suck and you can do way, way better if looks are the sole reason for this move.

no way... you pulled 1.8 60' with sportlines and stock shocks??? on street tires??? A4 or M6? if it was an M6 then what did u launch at? and cobra2ws6, how long have u had ur sportlines? When i first got them it was fine, but a year and some later, the ride is terrible. Maybe you havent experienced anything else? idk, but i hate my sportlines... im gonna call sam and get a good setup when i get the money.

ok.. well ive never tried racing at the track so i dont know what my 60' time is. I was not saying its not possible, i was just more in shock that you accomplished that. So u pulled a 1.8 60' by slipping the clutch in? I dont know if I can do that or not, but regardless i would never recommend that for a good track setup.
