I run the Koni SA's (4/4). The shocks work so good that I have them on my Honda also.

I don't want this to sound harsh, but it might. I simply say this because you are going to cause yourself a lot of stress. You need to do more research, and the best way to do that is to talk to someone who knows.

Why do I say this? Simple.... Koni doesn't make anything *but* Sport shocks for the 4th gen f-body. But there are 2 different fronts and 3 different rear "sport" shocks you could use. 4/4's are Sports. 4/3's are Sports, DA's are Sports.

I'm responsible for the use of 3rd gen rears on these cars. I can tell you the differences between those and the 4th gens. Both are excellent, just a little different. Others can't tell you the difference, or will just tell you I'm crazy because the catalogs don't tell you that's an option. Ok, but I've won the majority of my championships with 3rd gen rear shocks on the car (and some with 4th gen shocks). I can help you with the decision, but I won't make it for you.

what's the difference between the KON-8241-1139/40 Sport and the KON-4/4? are the 4/4's more adjustable? i don't really know a whole lot about suspension parts.

That's why you need to speak with someone, a real person..... there is no difference. those shocks *are* "4/4's", which is only a slang term for them--accurate, but not official.

I'm not aware of what you are talking about. Sometimes the prices vary based on what people hear. I often say $825, when they are really $828.80 a set just because folks deal with rounder numbers better. Further, I'm not sure where you saw different prices. Could be off my own site, I can't really keep up as well as I'd like because I'm answering things online or the phone all the time.

One last time. You have to call. This is it, I can't answer all your questions on-line. It takes forever, it doesn't address all the details, and one answer breeds another question.

The 3rd generation rear SA isn't adjustable on the car, the 4th generation rear SA is adjustable on the car (Higher cost), the 4th generation rear DA shock is double adjustable (highest cost) and I believe is also adjustable on the car.

They do.... but then again they don't race the cars, spend time on this and other forums doling out advice. And also, not the ones who came up with or know why you might opt for "4/3's" vs. 4/4's. I've run both on my own car, and have been using 3rd gen rears on cars for many years now when the situation warrants.
