Springs
I would like to get everybody's opinion on the BMR springs compared to the pro kit. I have Koni SA's all the way around if that helps any. TIA

They are $269 shipped. That's a little more than most springs, but it does inlcude the shipping charges *AND* the springs are not made of regular spring material, but Vogtland's VVS which is a LOT lighter. A whole set of springs for a 4th gen is normally around 40 pounds, these are 25. And it's not junk stuff, most every Nextel Cup team has switched because it's less mass. AND THESE ARE NOT the same as Vogtland's normal springs. Everything was speced by me, most of which is based off my own car.
Lowering is approx. 1.25". The test cars are coming back @ 26" front, 26.5 or so rear. That does vary a little bit depending on the car. One car was 26.75" in the rear (but started @ 28 and change). Measurements are with OE diameter tires BTW.
Spring rates are really what it's all about, and that is the real reason we had these made. Some springs are too low and/or too soft to support the mass properly. Some are stiffer than they need to be, but mostly almost all are some sort of progressive rate which wrecks havoc on proper shock damping, which is necessary for a properly driving car. If the spring rate is variable, and the shocks damping can't adjust automatcally (and they can't) then at some point you have a improper damping.
And the Koni's work just fine with my springs. I have Koni's on my car.
