Shock perch (front)
i looked at the sticky about lowering for newbs , but it did not mention the perch removal ...
what shocks will you be installing? If you are using shocks that wil require the reuse of the stock lower perch and upper perch, then yes. AFA removing the lower perch, it may require some finesse to remove it, but of course you need to first remove the springs (safely).

If/When it comes time to remove the perch off the stock shocks (once you have safely removed the spring), you will need to remove the brass end cap at the bottom of the shock body. It is just pressed on, so a few light taps around the edge of it with a hammer and it will come off. Then you simply slide the perch down off the body of the shock.

Glad that helped.

no, the Bilsteins do not come with lower perches, nor do the fronts come with dust covers. For the fronts, you must reuse the lower spring perch and the upper dust boots.
Again, you can only reuse them on a new pair of shocks, if the new pair of front shocks don't have them already welded on, or with some that already include their own removable/adjustible perches.
