So I'm looking to upgrade, do you guys think a 4130 washer will help provide better clamping force for my forged headlight assembly?

4130 washers are too strong... id rather have my washer twist and break so that it doesnt break the rear end.

that reminds me, can i put glass washers in the rear end? they still will be strogner then the rest of the 10bolt.

Oops, my bad. For a minute there I thought you were talking about a washer/dryer combo.

I should just stay out of these technical threads. Clearly I am in over my head.

I had to drill a 5/32" hole in my washer just to get it to idle properly!

I was so happy the first time I came across this thread... It has saved me so much time on the phone answering tech calls about washers. Now I just point my more needy callers here.

Thanks guys. You are performing a great service.

I think you should go with a 4140 PHT (Rc 28-32), better adjustablility IMO

I use the ones from the old muffler bearings when I change the air in my tires. Slide right in when you don't grind'em.

Make sure your washers are forged to handle all that horsepower, ....oh almost forgot, titanium flat washers are a necessary for weight savings.

Are the new Weiand washers displayed at SEMA 2007 out yet? I need a cheaper alternative to the FAST washers. I ported my washer a long time ago but I'm ready for more.
