Ive done search after search for these subject. I am lowering my car with a pro-kit and I want to replace the shocks at the same time. Can anyone give me some advice on what a good shock is for my application. I basically drive my car as I daily driver, been down the track 6 times total. I need a shock thats adjustable and can handle a lowering kit! Let me know what you know guys.. thanks in advance!

Why do you need an adjustable shock? Just curious...would you really adjust it that much?

I bought the Koni Single Adj. but I don't have them on the car yet. Hopefully by the end of the week I will though. It's not gonna take much to beat stock Decarbons though

An adjustable shock would be good if you would consider changing springs more than once. Koni sa's are perfect for this situation.

Bilstein HDs are the only thing i can think of. I know spohn carries them, but I'm sure plenty of other sponsors do as well.

I agree, I went with them and will have them on in a couple of days. I'm also sitting on pro-kit springs so if you'd like I could give you a firsthand experience of a before and after w/ these.

Go with the Koni SA, you will not be sorry. I have them and they are amazing, plus lifetime warranty, can't go wrong.

HD's by them selves are up to the task...or at least not the fronts.

Allot depends on the spring rates of your lowering springs

Bilstein HD's are pretty good for stock springs but won't dampen the prokit properly

Do it once, do it right...get the Koni SAs. I have a set of revalved Bilsteins from Sam, and I went lower with my car than he recommended on them, and now I will end up getting the Koni SAs this year. I'd still go through Sam...he isn't completely off the map.

I get the feeling Landon is getting upset with me, and I'm sorry about that. He has called and left messages for advice. That's fine, and I told him I'd call him back as soon as can. I can't, yet. I have way too much going on right now, and I have to prioritize my life and business accordingly.

I want to help, but somethings are not as important as others. Also, you can order them off my website if you know what you want, you don't need to call somewhere else. However, it seems you want to know details that the website isn't going to give you, but then again, neither are the other places.

I see three choices here. Just hang in there and understand my Mom, who does all the book and answers phones has cancer, and my Dad who answers phones and packs the boxes are both not here. I am doing everything that last week 3 people were doing. So you can just hang in there. You can order whatever you choose of our website if you get advice you trust. You can order from somewhere else but I really can't help you with setup advice. Any of the three are ok with me, I am only one man...

The Koni SA are going to be fine for the prokit. I have the prokit and went with the ajustables onlybecause I wanted to be able to put them at the firmest setting. I have 11'' rims with 315 in the rear so I wanted to make it stiff as I could so I wouldnt bottom out so much. I rarely bottom out anymore. The car rides like a roller coaster in the tunrs and highway but pretty rough on the street with little bumps. I can deal with it though. I also have welded 3 point subrames too so that has alot to do with why its so stiff.

Get the Konis and you wont look back. As others said, do it right the first time....you get what you pay for. I also went through Sam and he is great to deal with.

Try lowering the rear shocks some.... Koni SA's adjust rebound and not compression, and even if they did compression does not limit movement only the speed of that movement. In short, the Koni's set so high in the back is not helping to keep your tires from rubbing, and if you turn them down it'll ride better, and probably handle better too.

I have Konis and had one replaced under warrenty when it leaked. You call them and give then a credit card # and they charge you 1/2 price, and send you a new shock. You return the old oneit the box, and they provided the return label and it goes back to them COD. If they determine it was defective then they credit your card. Even if it was your fault it only costs you 1/2.

The Koni shocks were a great improvement over the stock Decarons and probably the best improvement in the handling of my SS I have made.
